My name is Gwynneth Burns, a textile designer with a passion for pattern and surface design. I enrolled in the Textile Design program at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2017. At school, I was able to refine my skills and discover my passion for prints. From the first pattern I created, I knew I wanted to learn everything about textile design and never stop acquiring new skills.
I use a combination of CAD/digital design, traditional hand techniques, and unique processes I've picked up along my creative journey. I find inspiration in every aspect of life and have an extensive visual catalog I pull from for inspiration, including the color palette I curate from live photos. I am particularly interested in novelty prints, florals, paper good design, and interiors.
When I’m not designing my heart away, I spend my time with friends exploring New England, volunteering, visiting museums, and practicing magic.  My goal in life is to make beautiful, unique, and fun art that brings people as much joy as I experienced creating them.
